Indonesian pavilion remained focus of the visitors at the 8th "My Karachi Oasis of Harmony International Exhibition" being held at Karachi Expo Centre.
A large number of people visited the Indonesian pavilion, where 10 Indonesian companies had set their stalls. Majority of visitors gathered around the traditional Indonesia food stalls. Almost people came along with their families and appreciated particularly traditional noodles.
It is pertinent to mention here that Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi has been participating in the exhibition for all the eight years. Describing the aims behind overwhelming participation in the exhibition a high rank official of Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry Mohammad Kamal, who specially arrived in regard with the exhibition, told media that the consulate was participating in the exhibition, since it beginning to strengthen the bilateral brotherly relations, trade and cooperation between the two countries, besides promoting Indonesian products, tourism industry and introducing Indonesian culture, which was quite in accordance with the culture of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Indonesian pavilion was decorated with particular, heart touching, "Batik" style prints. Stalls of several Indonesians companies including of wheels, glue and other products were staged besides food item stalls. A stall of Indonesian industrial machinery clutched the minds of business community which was offering a latest thermal machine, enabling production of heat energy with cheep substances including junk, as compare to gas and furnace oil.
The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday by Chairman, Sindh Board Investment, Muhammad Zubair Motiwala and was concluded on Sunday. Consul General of Republic of Indonesia Rossalis R Adenan welcomed the chief guest on the Indonesian pavilion
The Indonesian Consulate General has always been trying to bring more knowledge about Indonesia by regularly participating all events and functions of Karachi, by displaying Indonesian Products, Indonesian Traditional Foods, Indonesian Cultural Performances, so that the new generation of Pakistan could be able to know about Indonesia in a more attractive and fascinating way.-PR
