Gold prices on Saturday touched the historic high of Rs 51, 400 per tola up by Rs 200 after the yellow metal gained $10 to $1,600 an ounce in the global market, traders said. Gold is now available for Rs 44,057 per 10 grams up by Rs 172 to Rs 43, 885 in the local market, they said, adding "gold sale is under cost by Rs 550 per tola".
