All Pakistan Contractors Association (APCA) has announced to hold election of its office bearers for the year 2011-12 on September 14, 2011. Prior to this, election on 14 vacant seats include eight vacant seats of corporate members, six of associate members and two vacant seats reserved for women entrepreneurs, will be held on September 7 2011.
The decision to this effect was taken at the 67th meeting of the APCA executive committee, which met recently at its head office in Lahore with Engr. Akber Sheikh in the chair. According to a spokesman of the association, nomination paper will be received up to 15th August 2011 while withdrawals will be accepted up to 19th August 2011.
Holding of election of members of executive committee, finalisation of nomination of two seats reserved for women entrepreneurs and announcement of provisional result and draw will be held to determine the members who will retire after one year. In-case the executive committee increases the numbers of executive committee members, than it will be held on the preceding year on 7th September 2011.
