US MIDDAY: corn and wheat up

Chicago wheat rose over 1 percent early on Wednesday while corn and soyabeans also gained on concerns hot weather in the United States threatened crops. Chicago Board of Trade September wheat was up 1.15 percent to $702 a bushel by 1153 GMT. Chicago September corn rose 0.6 percent to $7.02-3/4 a bushel and the Chicago November soyabean contract gained 0.3 percent to $13.87 a bushel.
Corn, wheat and soybean futures are expected to remain volatile as US crops go through critical development stage in the weeks ahead amid rising global demand for agricultural products, traders said.
