Ramazan Packages started arriving ahead of Ramazan as prices of moong Punjab went up on the wholesale grain market on Tuesday as many participants were on the sidelines due to higher trend in the prices, dealers said.
On the cereals side moong Punjab was sharply higher by Rs 750 to Rs 9250 on strong demand ahead of Ramazan, dealers said adding that the government promised to announce different relief packages during the month of Ramazan, this is one of surprising package for the nation, they said. On the grams side, bajra drifted lower by Rs 100 to Rs 2600-2900, other items did not show any change in process of trading, they said.
On the rice sector Irri-6 Sindh low type moved up after gaining Rs 25 to Rs 2750 and better quality was higher by Rs 100 to Rs 3850, they said. On the seeds side cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 1300 while the best type was lower by Rs 25 to Rs 1375, they said.
