Balochistan Minister for Secondary Education, Mir Nasir Khan Jamali has said that government is committed to bring positive reforms in the education sector. Efforts are afoot to evolve long-term strategy to boost education in Balochistan. He made these remarks while addressing the inaugural ceremony of "Education for All" (EFA) project launched by the Government of Balochistan in collaboration with National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and Unesco at a local hotel here.
"Concerted plan has been devised to improve the education standard in the province," he said adding that with the financial support of international and national NGOs massive reforms are being brought to bring the standard of education as par with other provinces of the country.
Stressing the need for improving education ratio in Balochistan, Jamali said under the five year (EFA) project, the education ratio in the province would be increased to over 75 percent from existing about 40 percent. He also assured full support of the government and his commitment for the implementation of EFA plan. Secretary Education B'stan, Munir Ahmed highlighted the prevailing unsatisfactory situation of education in the province. He, however, expressed his satisfaction and said the endeavours of the stakeholders would bring about positive change.
