Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) has reduced the price of Atta by Rs 1.60 per kg. Talking to Business Recorder, Chairman Korangi Association of Trade and Industry and former chairman PFMA, Syed Johar Ali Qandhari said that the association has decided to reduce prices owing to stability in prices of wheat.
He said that price of Atta has been reduced from Rs 1,520 to Rs 1,440 per bag of 50 kg and price of 10-kg bag has been reduced to Rs 293 per bag The KATI chief said that this reduction in prices of Atta comes ahead of Ramazan and hoped that it will further be reduced if prices of wheat remain stable during the holy month. He further said that the owners of flour mills are sincerely interested to pass on benefit of stability in prices of wheat to relieve Atta consumers of some inflationary pressures.
