The Karachi Port handled 144,126 tonnes of cargo including 95,879 tonnes of import cargo, 48,247 tonnes of export cargo and 2,564 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 95,879 tonnes comprised of 11,698 tonnes of containerised cargo; 9,466 tonnes of bulk cargo: 6,829 tonnes of DAP; 2,120 tonnes of rock phosphate; 517 tonnes of chickpeas and 74,715 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 48,247 tonnes comprised of 24,030 tonnes of containerised cargo; 50 tonnes of general cargo; 3,751 tonnes of bulk cargo: 413 tonnes of cement; 3,338 tonnes of wheat and 20,416 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Kwan Mobong, BBC Oregon, MOL Seabreeze, APL Ruby, Al-Mirqab, Kota Arif and Violetta carrying two general cargo ships and five container ships respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period.
Four vessels viz Kota Arif, Antje Wulff, BBC Oregon and Kuniang carrying two container ships and two general cargo ships respectively are currently at the berths. A container ship namely Antje Wulff expected to sail on Tuesday, while two ships namely Usma and Cleantec with naphtha and DAP respectively are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Four vessels viz APL Coral, Bunga Raya Lapan, Vergina and Xiang Fu Men with two container ships and two steel & general cargo ship due to arrive on Tuesday, while six vessels viz Primo Stealth, Glen Canyon Bridge, Hanjin Rome, HS Challanger, Lahore Express and Gladiolus carrying LSFO, four container ships and steel coils carrier respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 59,946 tonnes of cargo includes 53,112 tonnes of import cargo and 6,834 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 53,112 tonnes includes 29,812 tonnes of furnace oil; 8,000 tonnes of palm oil; 4,000 tonnes of chemicals and 11,300 tonnes of phosphoric acid.
The total export cargo of 6,834 tonnes includes 414 tonnes of wheat and 6,420 tonnes of cement. A bulk cargo carrier MV Siam Sapphire sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while two more ships namely MT Harbour Fountain and MT Kasugta will sail out to sea on the same day. A total number of seven vessels MV Siam Sapphire, MV Topaz-II, MT Golden Ambrosia, MT Harbour Fountain, MT Rdeim, MT Kasugta and MT Sea Lion are currently occupying berths to load/offload wheat, cement, palm oil, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours. Eight ships namely Pago, Kathe Rickmers, Maersk Kalamata, Al-Soor-II, Al-Kuwaitiah, Olympic Sponsor, Chemroad Fuji and Diamond Falcon carrying containers, diesel oil, furnace oil, palm oil and wheat are currently at the outer anchorage.
A total number of six vessels viz CV Maersk Kalamata, CV Pago, CV Najran, CV UASC Dammam, MV Diamond Falcon and MT Chemroad Fuji scheduled to load/offload containers, wheat and palm oil are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal, FAP Terminal and Liquid Cargo Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Five container ships namely CV ACX Marguerite, CV CMA CGM Puccini, CV Kathec Rickmers, CV MSC Diaman and CV Libra Ipanema are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
