The Karachi Port handled 112,308 tonnes of cargo including 62,956 tonnes of import cargo, 49,352 tonnes of export cargo and 5,512 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 62,956 tonnes comprised of 33,537 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,057 tonnes of general cargo; 1,162 tonnes of wheat and 26,200 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
The total export cargo of 49,352 tonnes comprised of 38,550 tonnes of containerised cargo; 6,302 tonnes of bulk cargo: 1,179 tonnes of cement; 4,435 tonnes of wheat; 196 tonnes of flour; 492 tonnes of rice and 4,500 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely OOCL Charleston, Northern Valence, APL Brisbane, Bunga Raya Empat and MT Quetta carrying four container ships and oil tanker respectively sailed out to sea during the reported period. Five vessels viz Hyundai General, Northern Valour, Vira Bhum, D D Vogue and Cleantec carrying three container ships, general cargo ship and bulk cargo ship respectively are currently at the berths.
Six ships namely Northern Valour, Vira Bhum, D D Vogue, UACC Sound, Siam Sapphire and Shoko Maru with two container ships, general cargo ship, oil tanker, wheat carrier and ethanol ship respectively expected to sail on Tuesday, while another ship namely Nizar-M carrying wheat is expected to sail on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Lodestar Ganesis, Neelambari and APL Agate with two chemical carriers and container ships due to arrive on Tuesday, while ten vessels viz Usma, MAC Peggy, Hanjin Paris, Dandie, Manila Express, Omaha Belle, Manar, UBC Cyprus, Noble Coral and Iron Butterfly carrying Naphtha ship, four container ships, DAP carrier, rock phosphate carrier, cement carrier, general cargo ship and project cargo ship respectively are due to arrive on Wednesday.

PORT QASIM
The Port Qasim handled 50,708 tonnes of cargo includes 45,412 tonnes of import cargo, 5,296 tonnes of export cargo and 618 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours on Tuesday.
The total import cargo of 45,412 tonnes includes 36,648 tonnes of diesel oil; 5,997 tonnes of palm oil; 9,737 tonnes of phosphoric acid and 6,970 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 5,296 tonnes includes 2,800 tonnes of wheat and 2,496 tonnes of containerised cargo.
Two ships namely MV Acacia-N and MT Argent Aster sailed out to sea on Tuesday morning, while two more ships namely MT Bum Young and MT Leader will sail out to sea on the same day afternoon. A total number of six vessels CV MSC Magali, MV Tamil Nadu, MV Acacia-N, MT Argent Aster, MT Bum Young and MT Leader are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil, phosphoric acid and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours.
Six ships namely Fowairte, Nedlloyed Mercator, Mire, Sigloo Tor and Royal Emerald carrying containers, furnace oil, chemicals and palm oil are currently at the outer anchorage. A total number of six vessels viz CV Nedlloyed Mercator, CV Fowairte, CV Asir, MT MT Royal Emerald, MT Mire and MT Sigloo Tor carrying containers, palm oil, furnace oil and chemicals are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Two container ships namely CV CMA CGM Chopan and CV Izumo are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Wednesday.
