The Lahore High Court here Monday directed additional director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Zafar Qureshi to appear before the court on July 08 along with complete record in a petition of NICL scam accused and former federal minister Major Habibullah Warraich (Retd) requesting for release of his passport and removal of his name from Exit Control List (ECL).
A deputy attorney general Nasim Kashmiri said that the petition was baseless, as the petitioner's name was not in ECL. Petitioner's counsel opposed it and said that the petitioner's passport was with FIA and he could not travel abroad. He had already been granted bail. Habibullah Warraich is prime accused in NICL land scam case and presently is on bail and had filed the petition to seek directions to federal government to remove his name from ECL as he wanted to go aboard along with his wife for medical treatment.
