Islamabad Police have arrested nine persons for their alleged involvement in drug pushing, begging, possessing illegal arms, fraud and cheating, recovering a Kalashnikov assault rifle, two pistols, 85 bullets, 1.620 kg charas and 140 gram heroin from the detained accused.
Ten incident of crime were reported in the federal capital during the last 24 hours in which two persons were injured, while nine perrsons were arrested by police Shahzad Town Police during its regular checking near National Institute of Health (NIH) stopped a person namely Muhammad Jahangir and on search police recovered a Kalashnikov assault rifle and 80 bullets from him.
Sabzi Mandi Police during patrolling stopped a person namely Muhammad Ibrahim at IJ Principal Road and on search police seized two pistols (30-bore) and five bullets. Tarnol Police responded to a tipoff regarding the sale of charas at Tarnol raided the site and found Nadeem Abbas selling charas and seized 1.230 kg charas. Police also arrested his accomplice Fazlur Rehman.
One person was injured in Kripa village of Islamabad falling in the jurisdiction of Koral Police by Muhammad Afzal nominated in the FIR. The accused fired upon Muhammad Mumraiz by pistol over a meager feud. Koral Police recovered 390 gram charas and 140 gram heroin from Muhammad Iftikhar and Muhammad Naseer.
Two persons namely Imtiaz Hussain and Muhammad Wakeel were beaten by ten persons at Lake View Park over a petty dispute. Secretariat Police registered FIR against ten persons. Margalla Police nabbed three persons namely Muhammad Baber, Muhammad Razaq and Muhammad Asif from F-8/1 for begging.
