Civil, military leadership committed to work for country’s betterment

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Senator, Barrister Javed Abbasi Thursday said the civil and military leadership had shown commitment to jointly face the challenges and to work for the development and betterment of the country.

The civil and military leadership were on same page regarding national security issues, he said talking to PTV.

He termed the briefing of Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa to the Senate a historical and appreciable step which would strengthen the democracy.

He said the parliamentarians warmly welcomed the COAS, Director General of Military Operations, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence and Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in the Senate.

Javed Abbasi said the COAS briefed the parliamentarians with clarity on national security issues.

The PTI Senator Nauman Wazir said every parliamentarian was satisfied with the briefing of the COAS.
