In occupied Kashmir, at least two people were killed, one went missing while another was rescued after two private vehicles plunged into a stream in Islamabad district. According to Kashmir Media Service, the vehicles fell into the Lidder stream due to slippery road conditions near tourist resort of Pahalgam in the district.
One Shujaat Lankar of Khanqah-e-Mualla, occupied Srinagar, was rescued while Yasir Haroon, Mudasir Ahmad Shah and Shaukat Ahmad, were washed away by the heavy flow of water in the stream. Later, bodies of Yasir and Mudasir were fished out from the stream while that of Shaukat was yet to be recovered.
Meanwhile, a trooper of Indian Central Reserve Police Force was killed and two others were injured in a separate road accident in Awantipora. A speedy army vehicle deliberately hit a vehicle near Awantipora on occupied Srinagar-Jammu highway injuring two persons including a woman. The army personnel left the spot leaving injured in pool of blood. They didn't bother to stop and see what happened to the injured, an eyewitness told mediamen.
