Security forces have killed five terrorists, including a key commander of Fitna al-Hindustan, during an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, state media PTV News reported on Monday citing security sources.
The operation was conducted in the Sarkani and Chedgi areas of Panjgur as part of the ongoing Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-3, according to the sources.
Among those killed was a key Fitna al-Hindustan commander identified as Wazir, they said.
Four motorcycles, machine guns, heavy weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the slain terrorists during the operation, the sources added.
According to security sources, the killed terrorists were involved in robberies, extortion, kidnappings and other terrorist activities targeting local traders and residents in Panjgur.
Security forces continue operations against terrorist elements in the area as part of efforts to maintain peace and security in Balochistan.
The government in March 2025 decided that all terrorist groups and organisations operating in Balochistan would be referred to as ‘Fitna-al-Hindustan’.
According to the notification issued by the Ministry of Interior, the decision had been taken in view of the involvement of some organisations and groups in terrorist activities in Balochistan, at the behest of India (Hindustan).
The notification had further stated that the change was aimed at reflecting the true nature and ideology of those terrorist organisations and groups and nefarious designs of India (Hindustan) against the people of Pakistan.
A day ago, security forces killed 15 terrorists in intelligence based operations against Khawarij in Mastung, Bolan, Washuk, Awaran, Sibi, Khuzdar, Harnai and Nushki.
A large cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from the members of banned outfit Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) aka Khawarij.
