Around 33 education institutions have been made functional affected by militancy in Orakzai Agency. The political administration had provided 172 makeshift tents to resume education activities in militancy-hit agency.
The public sector education infrastructure had badly damaged by the militants in Lower and Central Orakzai Agency, depriving a large number of male and female from education facility.
To revive education activities in the agency, more than 172 tents have been provided to 33 militancy affected schools in the area, through which 4,463 students and 192 teachers would take benefit from the facility. Similarly, around ten tents were provided to four Basic Health Units (BHUs) and Civil Dispensaries (CDs) to continue medical relief activities in the agency.
The Political Agent Orakzai Agency Riaz Khan Masood along with other officials visited some of the tented schools in Bezoti, Jalaka Mela and Chaman Jana areas and expressed their satisfaction over resumption of education activities. Speaking on the occasion, the Political Agent said that the government is committed to revive education activities in the conflict-hit areas. He advised students to fully concentrate on their study.
