Over Rs 2.2 million looted from bank

Four robbers looted Rs 2.2 million from a bank in Dhilanwali, Aimenabad, on Saturday. According to police, four robbers entered into the HBL branch in Dhilanwali, Aimenabad, at 12:30pm. After snatching gun from a security guard, they took staff and customers hostage, locked them in a room and looted the cash.
Bank operational manager Muhammad Farooq told police the robbers took away Rs 2,096,000 from the bank and snatched Rs 116,000 from two customers. Police reached the bank after the incident. They have registered a case and are investigating.
