Sixth meeting of OECD held in Seoul

The 6th meeting of the Asia Network of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises was held in Seoul, South Korea. The event was organised by the OECD jointly with the Korea Institute of Public Finance.
Nazir Ahmed Shaheen, Executive Director (Registration), Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), attended the meeting and gave a presentation on the draft Corporate Governance Regulations for Public Sector Companies in Pakistan.
The draft regulations have been designed in view of the distinct governance challenges faced by the state-owned enterprises in Pakistan, and are based on the recommendations made in the OECD Guidelines on Corporate Governance of SOEs. The meeting provided an opportunity to the delegates from different countries to interact and share their experiences in reforming the governance framework of SOEs in their respective jurisdictions.-PR
