Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Mian Iftikhar Hussein has said that terrorist attacks have increased after the killing of Osama bin Laden as he was the ringleader of terrorists' network. Talking to media during his visit to Hangu after the suicide explosion here Friday, he said that Pakistan is in the grip of international terrorism and locals are playing in foreign hands.
The minister visited the site of the incident including district courts, National Bank of Pakistan branch and District Headquarters Hospital where he inquired about the health of the injured. Talking to journalists, Mian Iftikhar Hussein condemned the Thursday suicide bombing and said government is taking measures against terrorists as they are making bids for establishment of parallel administration. He said that the bid of terrorists has been foiled due to timely action of the government.
He said that no area or hideouts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are under the control of militants to carry their coward agenda. He said that the shedding of blood of innocent human is coward act, saying that till complete elimination of the menace, such kind of incidents will continue to occur.
The minister appreciated the high morale of residents of Hangu, where he said schools remained open for very second day after the incident and volunteers were busy in the relief operation. He said that some time they receive prior tips regarding the occurrence of such incidents, but control over such incidents is not possible. He said that if any kind of security lapse was proved in the Thursday incident, action will be taken against the responsible. He said that through a well-planned conspiracy, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been made the base of terrorists and is in the grip of terrorism.
