Despite security concerns, a healthy inflow of $27.25 million of foreign investors' portfolio investment (FIPI) was witnessed at the local equity market during May 2011 as compared to an outflow of $7.347 million in April 2011. According to National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) data, a net inflow of $1.670 million was seen during the outgoing week ended May 27, 2011 as compared to $2.019 million in the previous week.
On cumulative basis, the net inflow of this mode of investment was recorded at $72.282 million during the period from January 01, 2011 to May 27, 2011 as compared to an inflow of $237.743 million during the same period in 2010.
