Pakistan Meteorological Department on Thursday forecasted hot and dry weather for major part of the country; however scattered dust thunderstorm/rain with isolated heavy falls may occur. According to the met office, the prevailing weather pattern is due to seasonal low over Balochistan and adjoining areas, and Thursday's western disturbance affecting upper and central parts of the country. This may persist for next 24-36 hours.
Hence, for the next few days scattered dust thunderstorm/rain with isolated heavy fall is expected over Multan, Bahawalpur, D. G. Khan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, D. I. Khan, Bannu, Hazara Malakand, Peshawar divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Scattered thunderstorm/rain is also likely to occur in Balochistan. Also, dust thunderstorm/rain may occur in upper Sindh.
Meanwhile, various parts of the country received rain, including Parachinar 48 mm, Drosh, Pattan and Peshawar (airport) 12 mm (each), Murree 10 mm, Astore, Muzaffarabad, Dir and Peshawar 7 mm (each), Hunza and Chitral 5 mm (each), Mirkhani and Ghari dupatta 4 mm (each), Chilas 2 mm, Saidu Sharif, Sialkot, D. G. Khan and Bunji 1 mm (each), and Gilgit, Nokkundi and Rawalakot trace (each).
