The management of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has assured the representatives of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) that the company would make all possible efforts to control electricity loadshedding. The management of KESC gave the assurance to a delegation of MQM, which met it and expressed concern over unannounced loadshedding of electricity in the city, said a statement issued by MQM on Wednesday.
The members of MQM delegation were Senator Abdul Haseeb, MNA Abdul Qadir Khanzada, Sindh Minister Faisal Sabzwari and Provincial Advisor, Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hasan. They told the KESC management that Karachiites are already facing hardships due to loadshedding while differences between the KESC management and labourers' body has further deteriorated the situation. The MQM leaders urged that differences between KESC management and its union should be settled through dialogue and practical steps should be taken to provide relief to the people from loadshedding.
