South Korea jobless rate unchanged in November

SEOUL: South Korea's unemployment rate was unchanged in November from a month earlier despite more sluggish economic growth, a report showed Wednesday.

The jobless rate of 2.9 percent last month compared with 3.0 percent in November 2010, Statistics Korea said. There were 479,000 more jobs last month from a year earlier compared with a 501,000 rise in October.

Youth unemployment was 6.8 percent, up slightly from 6.7 percent a month earlier.
