SCCI organizes kalam-e-Iqbal contests

SIALKOT: Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) on Tuesday organized contests of Kalam-e-Iqbal and speeches on Iqbaliyat as part of the day-long celebrations held at SCCI Auditorium in connection with Iqbal Day.

A large number of the students of local government and private universities, colleges and schools, their teachers and the Sialkot based exporters attended the event.

SCCI President Zahid Latif Malik presided over the meeting. While, SCCI SVP Abdul Waheed, Vice President Abid Ahmed Khawaja, SCCI Event Managment Commitee's Chairman Mian Khalil Ahmed, Shehzada Ibne Iqbal Syed, Abdul Rauf Mughal, Chairperson SCCI Committee on Women Entrepreneurs Dr. Mariyam Nouman also attended the function.

Speakers paid homage to great Poet Philosopher Allama Iqbal.

SCCI President Zahid Latif Malik announced to make sincere efforts for the promotion of Iqbaliyat.

The SCCI President said that teachings of Allama Iqbal were like a beacon to maintain tolerance, peace and stability in the society.

SCCI Vice President Abid Ahmed Khawaja stressed the need to follow teachings of Allama Muhammad Iqbal to retrieve the country from various challenges it was facing.

Chairperson SCCI Committee for Women Entrepreneurs Dr. Mariyam Nouman also spoke on the occasion.

Students from local different universities, colleges and schools gave amazing performances.

Later, special prizes, cash prizes and commendation certificates were distributed among the participating students.
