'Joint Business Council' being set up

In order to establish "Joint Business Council" on bilateral basis for promotion of trade and industry with the objective to improve trade relationship with partner countries, business councils would be registered with the Directorate General of Trade Organisations.
The objectives of proposed "Joint Business Councils" shall be to foster cordial and congenial business relationship between Pakistani business community and its foreign counterparts, assist Government of Pakistan in economic policies formulation especially at the time of signing of MoUs/PTAs/FTAs/RTAs and JMCs with its trading partners, help identify areas hindering smooth flow of trade especially compliance issues and conformity to TBP/SBP requirements and develop linkages between Pakistani stakeholders and foreign business partners.
