KAMPALA: The Ugandan shilling firmed on Monday, helped by weak dollar demand from both commercial banks and importers and remittance inflows from Ugandans working abroad.
At 1116 GMT, commercial banks quoted the shilling at 3,610/3,620, stronger than Friday's close of 3,620/3,630.
