The Swiss franc rose against the euro on Tuesday as investors became more wary about riskier investments and instead favoured safe-haven assets such as the Swissie, but some analysts see the franc easing in coming weeks. At 0648 GMT, the franc was up 0.35 percent against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.308 per euro. The franc was largely unchanged against the dollar at 0.9226 per dollar.
Markets will also focus on Swiss consumer price inflation data due on Wednesday for any clues as to whether the Swiss National Bank is likely to start hiking interest rates. The European Central Bank is widely expected to raise rates on Thursday.
