Nine people were killed in two separate attacks in Iraq on Tuesday, according to police sources. Three civilians were killed and two injured in a suicide bombing attack in Mosul, a city located some 400 kilometres north of Baghdad. The bomber blew up his explosive belt inside a car dealership in the city.
In the southern part of the capital, six members of one family were killed and three injured when gunmen attacked their house. Three al Qaeda suspects were arrested in Baquba city, police said. Baquba, once a stronghold of al Qaeda, is the ethnically mixed capital of Diyala.
