Newborn's body found from 'nullah'

Sindh police claimed to have found a drowned body of a baby-girl from the nullah (drainage) of Mujahid Colony in the precincts of Nazimabad police station. Police found the day-old body from the nullah situated at Mujahid Colony no. 4 Nazimabad. It was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico legal formalities, and later moved to Edhi Morgue for identification. Identity of the victim is yet to be ascertained.
In another incident, an eight-year-old boy drowned to death in a water tank near Saba cinema in the remits of New Karachi Industrial Area police station. The victim, Farhan son of Saleem, resident of Sector 5-A New Karachi, was playing with his friend near his house when he drowned in water-board tank. Area people who gathered after the incident recovered the boy with the help of rescue teams and shifted it to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. His family took the body without completing any legal formalities.
