Vice Chancellor University of Sindh, Professor Dr Nazir A. Mughal has expressed deep sorrow on the sad demise of student of M.A Previous Political Science Rameez Suhag at Karachi's hospital on Tuesday. In his condolence message, Professor Dr Mughal said that the varsity students, teachers and employees feel great loss on the death of the student who was an asset, not only for his parents but also of the varsity.
He informed that in view of the law and order problem at the campus, a number of meetings have been convened to bring peace for the betterment of the varsity and education. He further said a number of reforms have been initiated to establish peace at the campus. Strict checking system has been initiated at the varsity, he added. The VC informed that SU administration has rusticated four students and banned their entry due to the clash and involvement in firing incident, which took place on March 30 at the boys' hostels.
SU on Tuesday said that in reaction of the death of student Rameez Suhag, a group of students forcibly closed various institutes and departments and boycotted ongoing classes. Some miscreants hurled and damaged glasses of the Institute of English Language and Literature, Biochemistry and Faculty of Arts building. SU security along with police and rangers immediately intervened and provided point buses to boys and girls students for their safe return to their homes.
