The Director Military Lands and Cantonment (DML&C) Karachi presided a coordination meeting in the wake of Census programme in 8 Cantonments in Sindh. The meeting was attended by census department officers and CEOs of their respective Boards. While addressing the meeting Director, Khwaja Iftikhar Ahmed Mir highlighted that the census programme is a national duty and it should be performed with interest.
He also added that the communication process with locals should be transparent and easily accessible and should be carried out with co-ordination and CDOS of their respective areas to put up banners for public conveniences, advertisement should also be published in newspapers and electronic media should be used for the awareness of census programme.
He recommended that the first phase of census would commence 5th of April and end at 19th of April 2011. The second phase would follow in the month of September. He also directed the members that their national census should be completed in a exemplary manners and should be performed with obtrusion and responsibility.-PR
