Positive idea to liberalise visa regime with Pakistan: India

Indian Home Minister, P. Chidambaram said it is positive idea to further liberalise the visa regime with Pakistan and a Joint Working Group is being set up for the purpose. According to All India Radio report, Chidambaram said modalities and procedures would have to be worked out for setting up a Joint Commission to visit Pakistan.
In reply to a question on cash-for-vote scam, the home minister said that investigations are underway and Delhi Police is calling more people for questioning. Describing the recently held Home Secretary level talks as a positive development, he said it is one of many steps to be taken towards resolution of disputes between the two countries.
