KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Monday at 20,163.37 points with a negative change of -368.74 and volume of 79,390,700 shares. High and Low were 20,792.85 and 20,163.37 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 1 were up, 29 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 129,421,650 shares. Total companies traded were 367 of which 45 were positive, 308 were negative and 14 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 15,810,500 shares. It was followed by Power Generation and Distribution with a total traded volume of 7,947,200 shares.

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 12,195 (120.00), Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 1,100 and price per share of 1,565 (64.50), Colgate-Palmolive (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 340 and price per share of 2,449 (49.00).

The top three decliners were Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,200 and price per share of 1,498.25 (-71.75), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 780 and price per share of 1,269.69 (-59.25), Millat Tractors Limited with a volume of 29,160 and price per share of 1,099.85 (-40.23).
