Islamabad Police in a very short span of time has succeeded in tracing the murderers of two Afghan nationals and nabbed four persons for their alleged involvement in the crime. The Capital Police arrested four accused allegedly involved in the murder of two Afghans in a very short span of time (24 hours) said Naeem Iqbal, spokesman of Islamabad here on Sunday.
Some unidentified persons gunned down two Afghan nationals Ali Raza 23-year-old, son of Rajab Ali and Ali Khabut 23-year-old son of Syed Jehan Shah both from Kabul, Afghanistan, on March 25 in front of the DHA phase II Islamabad and they managed easy escaped after committing the crime, Sihala Police sources revealed to this scribe.
Sahala Police registered a case against unknown culprits and started investigation to chase the people behind this blind double murder.
The accused had killed the deceased Afghan nationals over a business dispute and they were paid by one of the accused to kill the two persons, Sihala Police revealed, adding that the detained accused were identified as Habibullah son of Muhammad Ali of New Iqbal Town, Ashir Masih son of George Masih of Faizabad, Muhammad Ali son of Muhammad Ilyas of Saddar Rawalpindi and Syed Qammar Abbas son of Syed Maqbool Hussain Shah of Muslim Town Rawalpindi.
The Inspector General Police (IGP) Islamabad Wajid Ali Durrani also took note of the blind double murder and assigned Superintendent of Police (SP) Rural, Malik Umar Hayat the task to make quick efforts to arrest the criminals involved in blind murder, Police spokesman said.
A special team was constituted under DSP Rural Sardar Babar Mumtaz and SHO Sahala Sajjad Haider Bukhari to resolve the mystery of the double murder and arrest the criminals, he said, adding that through the technical investigation, the police team succeeded to arrest four persons involved in the crime.
During the preliminary investigation, the accused revealed to investigation team that they had business dispute and alleged killer Habibullah paid money to hired assassins to kill Ali Raza and Syed Jamal Shah. Further investigation is under way, the spokesman said. IGP Wajid Ali Durrani and DIG (Operation) Binyamin appreciated Sahala Police and announced cash prize and commendation certificate.
