Provision of best services to consumers stands top on the agenda of Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (Fesco) Board of Directors, said Rana Mushtaq Chairman Load Management Committee. He was addressing a review meeting to discuss load management problems, here on Thursday.
Mushtaq said that Fesco is ranked top among various distribution companies (discos) because of minimum line loses and excellent performance of the staff, adding that entire credit of the work goes to them.
He informed that efforts are also been made to upgrade and furbish distribution network ahead of the upcoming summer season.
He assured that the BoD will give top priority to the interests of Fesco employees as well asset consumers. He further said that the board will make concerted efforts to provide maximum relief to the consumers through effective management of available electricity. Mushtaq also said that board will make efforts to provide maximum electricity to the industrial as well as agriculture sector.
Director Fesco BoD, Mian Hamid Javed stressed the need to bring a positive behavioural change in the attitude of Fesco employees towards its consumers. He called for consumer friendly approach to discourage wastage of energy. In this connection, a save energy campaign would be launched in collaboration with local media, he announced.
Expressing his views, director of the board, Wasif Majeed said that the board is fully aware of the problems being confronted by Fesco employees and efforts would be made to resolve these on priority basis. He also underlined the need for expeditious redressel of consumers' complaints.
Earlier, Manager Operation Fesco, Jhang Circle, Toufeeq Akbar Azad briefed that the circle is catering to the needs of nine lac (0.9 million) consumers through 209 feeders. We are also purchasing electricity locally from Shakar Gang Sugar Mills Jhang and Ramzan Sugar Mills Bhowana to ensure maximum electricity supply to the industrial, commercial and agriculture sectors, he maintained.
On the occasion, the BoD inquired about the problems of the engineering staff and assured resolving them at the earliest. The meeting was also attended by Chief Engineer O&M Fesco, Shakeem Ahmed, Director BoD, Balqees Akhtar Hashmi, and Deputy and Assistant Managers Operation.
