LAHORE: Bullish trend prevailed in the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) on the opening day (Monday) of this week, as it gained 13.32 points following the LSE-25 index opened with 2881.76 and closed at 2895.08 points.
The market's overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 967,045 shares to close against the previous turnover of 650,980 shares, showing a upward move of 316,065 shares. While, out of the total 96 active scrips only 17 moved up, 64 remained equal and 15 shed values.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited and National Bank of Pakistan were major gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.58, Rs. 1.76 and Re 0.96 respectively.
Engro Corporation Limited, Attock Refinery Limited and Pakistan Oil Fields Limited lost their per share value by Rs 4.60, Rs 2.19 and Rs 1.17 respectively.
The volume leader of the day included Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim with 177,250 shares, Fatima Fertilizer Company with 160,235 shares and National Bank of Pakistan with 151,348 shares.
