LONDON: The euro hit a session low while the Australian dollar fell 1 percent versus the US dollar on Monday as markets underwhelmed by last week's EU summit sought the relative safety of the US currency.
The Australian dollar fell to a low of US$1.0108.
The single currency hit a session low of $1.3261 after triggering stops below Friday's trough of $1.3280. Traders cited talk of more stops below $1.3250.
