KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Tuesday at 21,366.38 points with a negative change of -139.63 and volume of 92,377,600 shares. High and Low were 21,530.46 and 21,279.66 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 12 were up, 18 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 147,302,770 shares. Total companies traded were 363 of which 195 were positive, 152 were negative and 16 were unchanged.

Power Generation and Distribution was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 34,617,700 shares. It was followed by Technology and Communication with a total traded volume of 25,710,500 shares.

The three top traded companies were K-Electric Limited with a volume of 17,859,500 and price per share of 6.55 (0.21), TRG Pakistan Limited with a volume of 12,730,000 and price per share of 37.41 (0.35), Japan Power Generation Limited with a volume of 12,185,500 and price per share of 2.28 (1.00).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 11,392.50 (542.50), Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 400 and price per share of 1,568.45 (69.45), Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 1,200 and price per share of 792.99 (37.74).

The top three decliners were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 6,950 (-250.00), Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 160 and price per share of 1,590 (-30.00), Murree Brewery Company Limited with a volume of 350 and price per share of 727.02 (-22.88).
