Business was seen at low level on the wholesales grain and seed market on Monday in process of trading, dealers said. On the cereal side, barley Sindh and Mardan was quoted at Rs 2600-2650, wheat old Bardan registered at Rs 2640 and new was at Rs 2655. Other commodity items maintained weekend levels, they said.
On the rice sector, Basmati 386 new low type was lower by Rs 100 to Rs 5400 and good quality was sharply down by Rs 300 to Rs 5500, other types retained the last levels, they said, On the seed side castorseeds Lasbela inferior type was unchanged at Rs 2200 while the best type quality fell by Rs 100 to Rs 2300, cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type shed Rs 30 to Rs 1250 and best type also lost Rs 5 to Rs 1280,they said. Only grams sector managed to hold the weekend closing levels, they added.
