Grams' prices fluctuate along with other items in line with world trend

Rising trend was marked in yellow peas and dal imported, copra India, gram, gram dal Australia and plastic mouldings while other commodities depicted small rise and fall as seen elsewhere globally during the week ended on January 29, 2011.
On Monday gram yellow peas Canada rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3350 and Rs 3450, yellow peas Canada dal rose by the same amount to Rs 3650 and Rs 3800, yellow peas Ukraine gained same amount to Rs 3200 and Rs 3350, yellow peas dal Ukraine also rose by Rs 50 to Rs 3600 and Rs 3750, bajra low type conceded Rs 25 to Rs 3500 while better type shed Rs 100 to Rs 3600, cotton cakes low type rose by Rs 10 to Rs 1270 while the other type stayed put at Rs 1300.
On Jodia Bazar petroleum jelly (per kg) from Japan down Re1 to Rs 241, Rangolite C (per pound) from China shed Rs 2 to Rs 84, the same item from Germany gained Re1 to Rs 90, hydrosulphite China 88 percent rose by Re1 to Rs 81, same item from Germany rose by Rs 3 to Rs 72, and India rose by Rs 4 to Rs 59, acetic acid Taiwan rose by 25 paisa to Rs 79.25 and Korean up Re1 to Rs 78, hydrogen peroxide Descon 50 percent up by Rs 4 to Rs 66, sitara up Rs 5 to Rs 66, Taiwan 35pc rose by Re1 to Rs 59, and Korean 5pc ended down Rs 3 to Rs 63.

On Jodia Bazar Kirana items (40 kg) black pepper from Singapore rose by Rs 800 to Rs 18000, black pepper from Ceylon rose by Rs 400 to Rs 17,600, mace lost Rs 1000 to Rs 97000, big cardamom ended lower by Rs 6000 to Rs 91000, cloves ended down Rs 2000 to Rs 24,000, copra from India rose by Rs 400 to Rs 6800, sago rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3250, star aniseed lost Rs 1300 to Rs 14500 and darchini was quoted at Rs 6900.

RANGOLITE 'C' (Per pound): China ended higher by Re 1 to Rs 85, Germany went up by Re 1 to Rs 91 and India was quoted at Rs 87. HYDROSULPHITE: China 88 percent moved upward by Re 1 to Rs 82 and Germany was quoted at Rs 72.
On Saturday prices moved both ways. Wheat old with Bardan was quoted at Rs 2640-2645 and wheat new with Bardan was registered at Rs 2655-2660. Masoor Canada went up by Rs 300 to 6800. Gur best type retained its overnight level at Rs 6200 while the low type shed Rs 100 to Rs 5500. Khandsari was quoted at Rs 8000-8500. Grams Australia was down by Rs 100 to Rs 5250-5450. Grams dal Australia was lower by Rs 200 to Rs 6200-6400. Yellow peas Canada followed the same pattern, losing Rs 100 to Rs 3600-3750. Yellow peas dal Canada low type gained Rs 100 to Rs 4000 while the good type was unchanged at Rs 4150. Yellow peas Ukrain low type rose by Rs 100 to Rs 3500 and best quality was higher by Rs 200 to Rs 3750 and yellow peas dal Ukraine appreciated by Rs 100 to Rs 3950-4100. Cottonseed oilcake with bag Sindh low type maintained its overnight level at Rs 1280 while the superior type lost Rs 15 to Rs 1285.
On Jodia Bazar raw rubber closed down. The changes were: RAW RUBBER CEYLON (Per lb): Merryrub (Equivalent to RSS3) ended lower by Rs 5 to Rs 180, and RSSV was quoted at Rs 185. LATEX: Merrytex (28 kg) was quoted at Rs 1,170 and Semnan tex was quoted at Rs 1,170.
