The University of Sindh has planned to provide training to its security guards to maintain law and order and for improvement of security system at the University Campus. In this connection a meeting was convened by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Nazir A Mughal held on Wednesday which decided that security guards will be trained in phase wise and a batch 40 security guards out of its 408 will be sent for the training in first phase.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Rangers personnel, Registrar Dr Muhammad Siddique, Director Security campus Sajid Memon, Advisor Engineering wing Dr Abdullah Ahad Abro and other officials. The meeting also discussed to fix an incentive and award of certificates for those security guards who will avail the training. In connection with campus security, it was also decided that in absent of those who will proceed for training, extra remuneration will be paid to other security guards who perform duty extra hours.
In an other meeting routes for the students and employees point buses were discussed and decided that point buses will be plied from different safe routes to save the time of students and employees.
The meeting discussed and finalised that the point buses for the students from Latifabad, Qasimabad and different parts of Hyderabad and Kotri. The meeting also decided that at the campus the point buses would drop the students at Allama I I Kazi Chock while buses will be parked at different parts of campus to provide facility to pick students of various routes.
The meeting decided that buses would not be parked at the main ground of the Arts Faculty at the campus. The meeting while discussing law and order situation decided to convene a separate meeting with Hyderabad and Jamshoro Police in connection with security cover to point its buses in case of any emergency from different routes of Hyderabad and Jamshoro.
