Three workers of a Paper Board Unit were killed, while three become unconscious, when they were trying to cleaning "Crushing & Mixing Tank," which was closed since last one year on Jhang Road in the area of Police Station Thikreewala.
According to police sources, some workers were cleaning a Paper Board Unit, which was closed since the last one year. When Muhammad Khalil went inside the "Crushing & Mixing Tank." After quite long time, when Khalil did not come out of the Tank, other five workers got worried and went into the Tank. When they too not come out, many peoples gather there and called rescue agency. Combined efforts were made for the release of poisonous gas from the Tank.
Later, with the great difficulty, peoples and rescue workers retrieved the six bodies from the Tank. Due to poisonous gas three workers Muhammad Khalil, Muhammd Arif and Shahbaz Ahmad were found dead, while three shifted to hospital where their condition stated to be serious.
