Iranian universities to begin students, teachers exchange plan with UoP

Acting Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Peshawar, Hasheem Ashjazadeh said that universities in his countries want to start students, teachers exchange programme with University of Peshawar and modalities in this reference are being finalised.
The Iranian diplomat was talking to the Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar, Professor Dr Azmat Hayat Khan here on Thursday. The acting consul general said that his government wants to cooperate with Pakistan and especially the people from north in the field of education, be that technical education or any other literary contribution. This, he said, would ultimately strengthen the relationships between the two brotherly countries.
Hasheem Ashjazadeh called on the Vice Chancellor University of Peshawar Professor Dr Azmat Hayat Khan and discussed with him various educational development projects that the Iranian government intends to initiate in the near future. Dr Azmat while talking to the consul general showed his resolve to facilitate any step that the Iranian Government wants to cooperate with Pakistan in the field of education.
He said that Iran is a very good friend of Pakistan and has helped the people of Pakistan at times of disasters. He said that technical education is one field that needs improvement in Pakistan so as to build capacity of our youth over electrical, mechanical and other, field work skills. Later, the Vice Chancellor presented University of Peshawar Souvenir to the Acting Consul General. It is worth mentioning here that Iran wants to start two mega projects with University of Peshawar.-PR
