KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Wednesday at 21,156.18 points with a positive change of 30.16 and volume of 82,508,800 shares. High and Low were 21,222.57 and 20,976.03 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 19 were up, 11 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 114,913,580 shares. Total companies traded were 346 of which 185 were positive, 141 were negative and 20 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 20,841,500 shares. It was followed by Power Generation and Distribution with a total traded volume of 14,056,700 shares.

The three top traded companies were TRG Pakistan Limited with a volume of 17,065,000 and price per share of 37.81 (1.69), K-Electric Limited with a volume of 11,004,000 and price per share of 6.29 (0.16), Azgard Nine Limited with a volume of 10,116,000 and price per share of 15.69 (0.77).

The top three advancers were Philip Morris (Pakistan) Limited with a volume of 580 and price per share of 3,173.61 (151.12), Khyber Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 100 and price per share of 1,434.90 (45.93), Hinopak Motors Limited with a volume of 940 and price per share of 1,061.76 (31.71).

The top three decliners were Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Company Ltd. with a volume of 7,300 and price per share of 890.45 (-46.86), Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 1,500 and price per share of 795 (-38.99), Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited with a volume of 12,400 and price per share of 629.96 (-14.49).
