Iran has reopened Zero point at Taftan border on Wednesday after its closure for five months, official sources said. Zero point, a trade gate between Pakistan and Iran was closed following the deadly blast in mosque in Seestan province of Iran on 15 July, 2010. The zero point connecting Pakistan with Iran was reopened after a formal ceremony that held here at Taftan.
Assistant Commissioner Taftan Khalid Dad Barech, FC Commander Major Khuram and Commander Security Forces BSF-2 Mehdi Zamani attended the ceremony. It may be mention here, that traders, social and political workers had been raising voice against the closure of the trade gate forcing the government to reopen it with out any delay. People from both side of the border hailed the development and termed it beneficial for the trade activities, which remained halted for the last five month.
