Senior Provincial Minister Raja Riaz Ahmad visited Mayo Hospital to enquire about health of the victims of the blast. He met police officials and other injured ones admitted there and prayed for their early recovery. MS Mayo Hospital Dr Zahid Pervaiz and doctors were also present who briefed Senior Minister and told that only one patient is serious while all other would be discharged soon from hospital.
Later talking to media, Raja Riaz Ahmad said that due to affective strategy Punjab government and law enforcing agencies, no major loss was occurred in Data Darbar or Karbla Gamay Shah and suicide bomber was stopped at the first checking post. He said that we all salute police "Jawans" who sacrificed their lives to save the masses. He said that compensation would be announced by Chief Minister for those who lost their lives and injured in this incident.
Replying to a question, Raja Riaz Ahmad said that there is no need of imposing Martial Law in Punjab and nor democratic or political party would support it. He said that unelected regime always harms the country and no one should look towards these forces. He said that all political parties are with government on the issue of terrorism and steps against terrorists would remain continue till the end of these anti-state forces.
