The Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) is staging a grand sit-in in Peshawar on Sunday (today) to register its protest against the increasing drone attacks, military operation in tribal areas, countrywide lawlessness, price hike, gross injustice being meted out to flood-affected people and press for recovery of thousands of missing persons.
JI spokesman said that the sit-in being organised by JI chapter Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa will be held in front of the provincial assembly from 10am till 3pm. Top party leaders including JI chief, Munawar Hasan, former chief, Qazi Husain Ahmed, deputy chief Sirajul Haq, provincial chief, Professor Ibrahim Khan, provincial secretary Shabbir Ahmed Khan and tribal area chief Sahibzada Haroon-ur-Rashid will address and participate in the sit-in.
