Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has said that the PPP leaders had made the defence of Pakistan impregnable. "Founder of the PPP Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto gave the country atomic technology while Shaheed Benazir Bhutto gave missile technology", he said while addressing a ceremony to give away wheelchairs and cheques to the disabled at the Aiwan-e-Iqbal here on Friday.
Eulogising the sacrifices of PPP leadership as well as workers, Khosa said that it was due to the martyrdom of leaders as well as the workers that the party had representation in all the provinces and at Presidency, Prime Minister House,
Senate and Punjab Governor House.
Speaking on the occasion, PPP Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich said that the PPP had always raised voice for the deprived sections of society and rendered sacrifices for strengthening democracy in the country. Senior Minister Raja Riaz Ahmed, Provincial Minister Ashraf Khan Sohna, PPP Lahore President Samina Khalid Ghurki, Samiullah Khan, Zakria Butt, Faiza Malik and a large number of party workers and people from all walks of life also attended the ceremony.
