French analyst Strategie Grains on Thursday reduced its forecast for the European Union's 2011 soft wheat crop by 900,000 tonnes to 135.6 million tonnes, still 6 percent up on the 127.4 million tonnes harvested last season. The reduction concerned the Western part of the 27-member bloc plus Greece, and partly stemmed from a revision in official estimates in several countries, it said.
