LAHORE: Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah met with Lord Burnett of Maldon, Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, in London.
According to a LHC press release issued here on Monday, both judiciary heads exchanged views about matters of bilateral interest and embarked upon a discussion concerning the on going reforms in Punjab judiciary. The two luminaries agreed on the importance of mutual cooperation for enhancing the efficacy of administration of justice in Punjab and England as well.
The LHC Chief Justice apprised the Lord Chief Justice about the activities of the LHC delegation undertook in London and explained how such visit had played an important role in formation of definite action plans for further reforms in Punjab judiciary.
At the end of meeting, the LHC Chief Justice presented souvenirs to the Lord Chief Justice as a token of respect. Lord Sir Peter Henry Gross and Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK, were also present at the occasion.
