Governor satisfied over expansion in Japanese companies

KARACHI: Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair said with strengthening of economic relations between Pakistan and Japan will help reduce the poverty and boost development in the region.
The expansion of the Japanese companies operating in Pakistan since long had created more jobs, he said while talking to delegation of representatives of the Japanese companies operating in Pakistan, here at the Governor House, said an official statement on Monday.
The Governor mentioned that Japanese goods were popular in the world for their durability and quality.
The meeting discussed the improved law and order situation in the country leading to restoration of confidence of foreign investors, better facilities being provided by the government for trade and industry, and the performance of the Japanese companies.
He said many multinational companies were successfully operating in Karachi due to its strategic and economic importance.
The Japanese businessmen informed the Government that like other multinational companies, the Japanese companies were interested to invest more in Karachi, which was an ideal place for investment. These companies enjoyed full support and facilitation from the government in making more investment.
Japanese companies were keen to invest in various sectors in Pakistan including infrastructure development, energy and water treatment.
